3640454 - Error During Configuration of Communication Arrangement SAP_COM_0008

Symptom

An error is encountered during the configuration of communication arrangement SAP_COM_0008. The system displays the following messages:

  • Enter replication model name for Business Partner outbound interface.
  • Enter replication model name for Supplier outbound interface.
  • Enter replication model name for Customer outbound interface.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Communication Arrangements App.
  2. Set up a new SAP_COM_0008 scenario.
  3. Attempt to save the configuration.

Cause

This error arises when the IDOC Interface service status is active.

Resolution

Under Outbound Services, uncheck the Service Status only for Application Protocol: IDOC Interface.

  1. Go to the Communication Arrangements App.
  2. Open scenario SAP_COM_0008.
  3. Navigate to the Outbound Services section.
  4. Update the Service Status to inactive for Application Protocol: IDOC Interface.
  5. Save the configuration and verify the resolution of the issue.
