3640664 - Assign button is missing in Legal Transactions of Manage Purchase Contracts

Symptom

The purchase contract cannot have Legal Transactions Assigned in "EDIT MODE". 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open tab Legal Transactions of app Manage Purchase Contracts
  2. The Assign button shows in active or grey out
  3. Click the Edit button
  4. The Assign button missing

Cause

The Assign button will be disabled for Rejected and In Release Contracts in the legal transactions facet of app Manage Purchase Contracts.

This button is not visible when editing the purchase contract (in draft status).

Resolution

Ensure the purchase contract is in the approved/released status and Assign Legal Transactions while in the 'display' mode.
