Symptom
You upload an xml bank statement file according to SEPA scheme ISO20022.
When uploading he the file an error shows as 'Error in processing, file contains invalid content" when uploading ISO20022 bank statement'.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Liquidity Management Work Center.
- Navigate to File Management - Inbound Files view.
- Click New - Inbound File.
- Choose File Type: Bank Statement; Company: XYZ; Bank ID: XXX; Import Format:ISO20022 Bank Statement.
- Click Add - File and select your XML file you want to upload.
- Click Start File Upload.
- Error message: 'Error in processing, file contains invalid content' is displayed.
Cause
Provided file is of type camt.052.
For example:
Document / xmlns: urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:camt.052.001.08
This is not a conventional bank statement issued by the house-bank in intervals greater or equal 1 day.
camt.052 refers to intra-date bank account statements providing a near real-time view into bank account movements and balances.

Camt.052 – Bank to Customer Account Report is not supported in SAP Business ByDesign.
Resolution
SAP Business ByDesign does support the processing of pertinent version for conventional ISO20022 bank statements (camt.053 – Bank to Customer Statement up to version camt.053.001.08).
