3641155 - Extension Field not Editable in Purchase Order Approval Task

Extension Fields is not editable in the approval task of a Purchase Order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Managing My Area work center.
2. Select the Approvals view.
3. Search for the relevant Purchase Order.
4. Click on the subject of the approval task.

Observe that the Extension Fields are not editable.

The approval task is a snapshot of the document and does not allow editing of fields, except for the Notes field. When the Purchase Order is in the approval stage, all fields in the document are greyed out to prevent edits during the approval process. The Extension Field behave as part of the Purchase Order itself and not as part of the approval task, this can be observe since the Business Context of the Extension Field is Purchase Order - General Information.

This is the standard system behavior.
