Symptom
The 'Company' filter (or any similar filter, such as 'Division', 'Department') in the Goal Management module's Team Goal Assignment search bar or the "Filter by employees" option in the "Launch Forms" tool in the Performance Management module displays more values than it is expected.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals 2505
Reproducing the Issue
- Attempt to assign a team goal using the 'Company' filter in the Goal Management module.
- Observe that more values are displayed than it is expected based on the configuration.
- Attempt to launch a Performance Form in "Launch forms" tool and click "Filter by employees".
- Observe the same behavior.
Cause
"Unexpected" value is connected to invalid users' company settings in the User Data File. In both Performance Management form launching and Goal Management goal assigning, the same filtering functionality is used as in Employee Profile table reporting. Therefore, if there are still active or inactive users in the instance with certain Company/Division/Department data, the filtering in Performance Management and Goal Management will retrieve it when searching for a user to launch forms for or assign goals to.
To check this, an Employee Profile Table Report can be built, where inactive users are included. Company column has to be added.
Resolution
Maintain only the necessary values in the User Data File (UDF).
