3641749 - Categories in Latest People Profile are visible with no available card

Is noted that Categories are displayed in Latest People Profile even after disabling permission for every card/block within that category.

Example:

You have create a new category where you have only one card for any type, in my example I will use custom object:

Make sure user does not have access to the custom object or the category/session in employee views:

Then proxy as user and notice that the category is still visible:

This is expected behavior, the system does not hide the category if user does not have access to the portlets on that specific category.
Also 'Employee Views" permission is not applied to Latest People Profile.

In order to hide the category, please follow:

1. Configure Latest People Profile
2. In Select the Pencil in the right side of the category
3. Target role configuration will open
4. Use this to control the category permission.
