Symptom

  • User requirement is to extend custom fields to be able to display them in apps Balance Sheet/Income Statement / Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional.
  • The system design does not allow customization or extensibility for these apps.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to add additional fields for House Bank and House Bank Account in the Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional App.
  2. Observe that the system does not allow customization or extensibility for any fields.

Cause

  • Unfortunately there is no customization supported in the Balance Sheet Income Statement and Balance Sheet Income Statement Multidimensional apps. 
  • Both apps use the same Function Module underneath and same is not built for any extensions. The reason is, that the report is based on a complex calculation logic, so that it cannot be enabled for extensibility (as e.g. adding additional fields as dimensions).

Resolution

This is the standard system design.
