Symptom
The Server-Side Integration (SSI) Outlook plug-in syncs appointments to Outlook, triggering an email to the attendee with the appointment details. However, it does not include the user's C4C email signature.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
-
Open the User Email and go to Settings.
-
Navigate to 'My Email Settings'.
-
Note that the Outlook email signature is not automatically attached.
While it is possible to manually insert your Outlook signature into a self-created appointment, this option is unavailable for C4C-synced appointments, as the process is fully automated.
Resolution
This behavior is not under SAP's control. SAP send the request to the API, and Outlook is responsible for sending the actual invitations. The invites are not sent directly from our side.
Neither Outlook nor the EWS/Graph API provides a mechanism to automatically include a signature when the event is created programmatically. This behavior only applies when creating an event directly within Outlook.
For this functionality to be changed, please submit feedback or feature requests via Microsoft’s official feedback portal: Microsoft’s official feedback
As a workaround, users can manually include their signature or contact details in the body of the event when creating it in C4C. This way, the information will be included when the invitation is sent.
