3641960 - Unicode Emojis Replaced With "#" In Newsletter Content

Symptom

When adding Unicode emojis in the newsletter content design, the emojis are displayed with the character “#” instead of displaying the emoji icon. 

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Campaigns work center.

  2. Navigate to the Content work centerv view.

  3. Open Content XYZ (where XYZ represents the Content ID).

  4. Add Unicode emojis into the Content editor.

  5. Observe that the emojis are replaced with “#” when saved or previewed.

The emojis are replaced with the character “#” instead of displaying the emoji icon. 

Cause

Direct usage of Unicode emojis in newsletter content is not available currently and hence is replaced by #.

Resolution

This is the current and known behavior.
