3642012 - Error "This account cannot be processed in the worklist" under Expert Worklist view in App Manage Operating Chart of Accounts

Symptom

When using App Manage Operating Chart of Accounts, turn on Expert Worklist view, then click on the checkbox of any G/L account in the list.

The message "This account cannot be processed in the worklist" will be shown on the page.

 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access App Manage Operating Chart of Accounts 
  2. Turn on Expert Worklist view
  3. Click on the checkbox of any G/L account in the list
  4. The message "This account cannot be processed in the worklist" will be shown on the page and no further action can be made

Cause

This is by design. 

Resolution

The expert worklist is supposed to be used for mass copying of new accounts via the upload spreadsheet functionality.

New accounts uploaded via the spreadsheet will have the action "Copy" in the expert worklist. Only accounts marked with an action can be processed in the expert worklist, since these accounts are not yet created but rather a draft version. Therefore it's possible to assign and unassign the company codes in this stage. 

The account will then be created once the "Complete Action" button is pressed. After this step, it can no longer be processed in the expert worklist.
