3642047 - Table incomplete, or truncated when exporting a story to PDF from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Not all the table data is exported.
  • When exporting a story to PDF format that contains a table in SAP Analytics Cloud, it is missing rows of data in the generated PDF document.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.8.18

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a story with at least one table.
  2. Export the story to PDF format.
  3. When viewing the generated PDF document, the table is truncate, or it is missing data. Not all the data is exported.

Cause

  • When exporting a story to PDF format, it will only export what is visible in the Story.
  • When a table contains more data than what it can be displayed in the size defined for the table in the story, it only export what is visible, and this is why the data is truncated, or it is missing rows of data in in the generated PDF document.

Resolution

  • For references, see the SAP Analytics Cloud Help, in the section: Export Stories as Files, where it states:

"Story pages are exported in the state at the time of the export.
Scrollable charts and tables display only the visible sections…"

  • Note: When using the table option: "Auto-Size and Page Table Vertically", the rows of data will still be truncated when the table is placed inside a section widgets, therefore place the table directly on the canvas page rather than inside a section widget because section widgets are also containers.
