Symptom

  • Duplicate contact issue in Emarsys causing profile synchronization 
  • Two contacts share the same email address, but only one is correctly linked to a CDP profile via CD-ID.
  • Contact A: Created in Emarsys with no CD-ID.
  • Contact B: Created via SAP CDP with CD-ID and synced to Emarsys through the standard connector.
  • The CDP → Emarsys real-time sync, which uses the email address as the identifier, is not updating the correct contact in Emarsys.
  • Certain use cases relying on a unified and accurate contact profile are failing.
