Symptom
System does not allow resetting the Loading Status on Freight Order.
Error message: "Loading not possible for delivery & since not relevant to loading"
The status remains locked despite all relevant reversals being completed.
Environment
-
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Post Goods Issue for a Freight Order that includes multiple Outbound Deliveries.
- Cancel the Goods Issue to correct delivery quantities.
- Reverse the billing document associated with one of the deliveries.
- Attempt to reset the Loading Status on the Freight Order.
- Observe that the status remains locked.
Cause
Resolution
The current status of the relevant freight order does not permit loading. This is due to a blocking error message being raised by the system.
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, various statuses in delivery or freight orders can be blocked, preventing further actions until they are changed. Here are some common statuses and how they can be changed:
Delivery Statuses
- Shipping Readiness Status: Shipping Readiness Status This status indicates whether an outbound delivery order is ready for shipping. It can be set to ‘Ready’ once picking is completed. If adjustments are needed, it must be reset to ‘Not Ready’.
- Goods Issue Status: Once goods issue is posted, the delivery is marked as completed. To reverse this, you need to undo the goods issue.
Freight Order Statuses
- Execution Status: This status indicates if the freight order is ready for transportation execution. It can be changed from ‘Ready for Transportation Execution’ to ‘Not Ready’ if adjustments are needed.
- Loading Status: This status shows whether the freight order is loaded. If the status is set to ‘Loaded’, unloading might be restricted unless the status is changed.
