3642328 - Total time not captured for standard exam content in standard Learning online item status report

• Exam completion times are not recorded for certain assessments in SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
• Time field in standard learning online item status report is empty for exam content(not SCORM content).
• The EXAM_TIME_TAKEN field in the database table PA_EQB_STUD_QUIZ remains empty for affected assessments.

1. Create an exam in SAP SuccessFactors Learning using the Assessment Builder.
2. After the user completes the exam, execute the Learning report Online Item Status report.
3. Notice that the Time (HH:MM:SS) field is empty for the exam content

1. If the Time (HH:MM:SS) field is empty for all users who completed the exam

Please check whether the exam is set with a Time Duration.

In exam setting level

In item content level

The setting in item content level has higher priority than the default setting in exam setting level.

Please make sure that the exam has set to one time duration. The total time that user used to complete the exam will NOT be capured or recorded if the exam is not set to be a timed exam.

2. If only some particular users have null value in Time (HH:MM:SS) field while others have normal values (those users are assigned with same item and exam, and exam setting has never been changed)

This is caused by a wrong operation done by the end users. Those users navigate away from the exam page halfway without submitting the exam.

The total time used during the exam will only be sent to Learning database after the user submitted the exam.

If the user navigated away the exam page before submitting, then the total time field will have no values.
