3642333 - Is it possible to hide Person ID and Display Name fields from Employee Information Card in Latest People Profile? - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• The Person ID and Display Name fields are visible to employees when viewing another employee's profile in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central;
• The visibility of the field cannot be controlled using Role-Based Permissions (RBP).

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Log in to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
2. Navigate to the profile of another employee.
3. Observe that Person ID and Display Name fields are visible despite attempts to restrict it using RBP.

• This is expected behavior currently. It's not possible to hide these fields from Employee Information card.
• Engineering team is working on the enhancement for option to hide Person ID in the card. It is planned but not yet confirmed. If you would like to track the progress, please reach out to your CSM/CEE to track the progress of enhancement ECT-272475.
• Workaround

• • Navigate to Admin Center > Configure Latest People Profile > Personal data > For Employee Information card, disable 'Visible on full profile' > Save. This will make the card not to be displayed in Full profile.
  • Create a custom card:
    1. Create a new card of type 'User Information' card with this field 'Assignment ID External' (assignmentIdExternal).
       • If field is not available in dropdown, check if field is enabled and permission provided in Manage Business Configuration UI (BCUI) > Employee Profile > Standard > assignmentIdExternal
       • Add the field under Employee Profile >View Template >sysuserDirectorySetting > sysAllUserDiectorySetting 
    2. Make the card visible > Save
       • Note: The user information card doesn’t have a card level permission. As a workaround, place the card in a new category > Use the category permission to manage the access of the category.

OR

• • Configure a user information card that does not include assignmentIdExternal but contains other fields with RBP permission control.
