Symptom

  • API access ceases to function after enabling the "Enforce SSO login" option.
  • Users encounter an error when attempting to connect via the API.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable the "Enforce SSO login" option in the workspace settings.
  2. Attempt to connect to the API.
  3. Receive an "Unauthorized" error in the response with the message "Error while requesting user details from SPM".

Resolution

  1. Create a ticket and request Customer Support to add an "API Edition" license to the workspace.
  2. Create a technical user account with an accessible email address for setup and password resets.
  3. Assign the "API Edition" license to the newly created technical user.
