3643075 - Comparison between new Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app and Run Outbound Process app - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app is a new version app which could manage the outbound delivery in EWM.
It will replace the older version of the Run Outbound Process app in future release.
This document introduces the differences in UI and features between the two applications.

The two apps have the following differences:

• Cancel the picking of stock
  In the Run Outbound Process – Deliveries app, click the "Release unpacked stock" button to cancel the stock picking process.
  In the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app, follow the steps below to cancel the picking process: 
  • Navigate to "Related Apps" -> "Work Center Packing for Outbound Delivery".
  • Click the "Release" button, and the picked stock could be canceled.

• Create a picking task manually 
  In the Run Outbound Process - Deliveries app, click the  "Create Tasks Manually" in the Missing Tasks tab to create a picking task manually.
  In the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app, navigate to "Related Apps" - "Create Warehouse Tasks" at the top right of the item page to create a picking task manually. • Propose Source Storage Bin/Source Stock during picking task creation manually

In the Run Outbound Process - Deliveries app, the proposed source storage bin/stock are all the available stock at the warehouse despite of the stock removal strategy.
In the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app, the source storage bin/stock under the "Stk can be removed" tab still follows the Stock Removal Strategy. Still, it is possible to enter the source storage bin at the "Warehouse Task" tab, which doesn't belong to the search sequence, to create a picking task manually as long as there is available stock under the storage bin.

• Enter the serial number
  In the Run Outbound Process - Deliveries app, add the serial number after redirecting to the warehouse tasks screen.
  In the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders app, click the "Edit" button and go to the item detail page. The serial number can be entered on the item's detail screen.
