3643175 - How to Identify Whether an Optimized Story Is Using the New Table Build Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

As of QRC 3 2025, in SAP Analytics Cloud optimized stories, it is possible to make use of improvements and new features to modify tables in edit mode when certain criteria are met.
The improvements are called the new table build experience.

However, how to identify if an optimized story is using the new table build experience or not?

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Firstly, the New Table Build Experience is only available for the optimized stories. It is not available for the classic stories.

For an optimized story, please follow the steps below to check if it uses the new table build experience or not:

1. open the optimized story in the edit mode
2. select a table
3. open the table builder
4. scroll down to the bottom
5. if this message is shown, it indicates the old table build experience is in use.
   if this message is not shown, it indicates the new table build experience is in use.
