3643687 - HTML tags visible in the description column of approval page in SAP CPQ

Symptom

The Description column in the Approval page displays HTML tags instead of rendering the content properly.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP CPQ.
  2. Navigate to the Approval History of any quote.
  3. Observe that the Description column contains HTML tags instead of properly rendered content.

Cause

This is an expected behavior and not a bug. HTML tags in the custom tag are not supported for rendering.

Resolution

  1. Avoid using HTML tags in the custom tag.
  2. Ensure that the content added to the Description field is in plain text to prevent rendering issues.
