Symptom

Reason for status field opens even if no reason for a status is configured or available

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Navigation Menu
  2. Go to Leads
  3. Open any Lead
  4. Click Set Status on top
  5. Set a status (Eg Open)
  6. The reason for status pops up
  7. The dropdown is blank
  8. Go to User Menu
  9. Go to Settings
  10. Go to All Settings
  11. Go to Leads
  12. Go to Reason for Status
  13. For a particular Internal Status (Eg open), no reason for status is configured
  14. You expect that since there is no reason for status configured, the reason for status field should not pop up while setting that particular status (Eg Open)

Resolution

This is the current system behaviour. The reason for status will pop up even if no reason for status is configured for the respective status.
