Symptom

  • Severe error occurred in phase MAIN_SHDPREPUT/START_SHDI_PREPUT.
  • Error message: "FAIL: NIECONN_REFUSED (Connection refused), NiRawConnect failed in plugin_fopen()."
  • shadow instance could not be started.
  • No logs generated in the work directory for the shadow instance.
  • Service definition error: "Service definition not found in /usr/sap/sapservices."
