3643959 - Account Determination Group not Populated After Material Unit Cost Upload

• Material Unit Cost upload completed successfully, but the mandatory field "Account Determination Group" remains empty in the Consignment Valuation settings.
• The "Perpetual Cost Method" field also remains empty in the same settings.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Product Data Work Center work center.
2. Navigate to the Materials subview.
3. Select "All Materials" from the dropdown menu.
4. Search for Material ID: XYZ and open it.
5. Click "View All" and go to the "Valuation" tab.
6. Select the Business Residence ABC row.
7. Click "Maintain Consignment Valuation".
8. Observe that the "Account Determination Group" and "Perpetual Cost Method" fields are empty.

(ABC represents the Business Residence ID)

The defaulting logic for the "Account Determination Group" and "Perpetual Cost Method" does not apply when data is uploaded via Excel. This behavior occurs because the upload process operates at the business object level rather than the screen level.

1. Manually enter the "Account Determination Group" and "Perpetual Cost Method" values after the upload.
2. Alternatively, consider the following option for handling this scenario:

• Request assistance from the Partner Development Infrastructure (PDI) team to create a custom enhancement. This enhancement should replicate the defaulting logic applied in the UI layer and trigger it during the Excel upload process.
