Symptom

  • You receive the following error when saving a Business Partner:
    Required entry field Payment Methods is not filled: field ZWELS in table KNB1

    Message No. FSBP_GENERIC008
  • The error usually occurs during IDOC postings (DEBMAS/CREMAS) and does not occur in transaction BP.
  • The field is set to Optional in all customizing views.
  • The same error can occur for other fields.
