Symptom
On SAP Datasphere, Replication Flow for tables from SLT source systems with load type: Initial and Delta, fails with the error:
Transferring delta data failed due to the following error: the error has been going on for a while and requires manual intervention:failed to Send GetOrder: context deadline exceeded.
Environment
- SAP Datasphere
- SAP Landscape Transformation Server (SLT)
Cause
Performance issue with data movement from the LTRDB buffer table through RMS possibly due to missing required SAP Notes.
Resolution
- Implement all the required notes for the respective DMIS release on the source SLT system, per the Central Note listed in SAP Note 2890171 - SAP Data Intelligence / SAP Datasphere - ABAP Integration. See How to check relevant note corrections in On-premise ABAP-based systems for Data Flows and Replication Flows | SAP Help Portal
- If the error persists after applying all the required SAP Notes on the source system, check the state of the tables which are part of the Replication Flow, on the source system via t-code LTRDBMON as described in SAP Note 3360905 - SAP Data Intelligence / SAP Datasphere - ABAP Integration - Performance when using RMS / Replication Flows. Accordingly, as suggested in SAP Note 3360905, tune the parameter RMS_MAX_PARTITIONS (see SAP Note 3260185 - SAP Data Intelligence / SAP Datasphere - ABAP Integration - Runtime Parameters).
