3644229 - Adding Serial Numbers in the "Manage Outbound Delivery Orders" Application

Symptom

  • Users are unable to determine how to enter serial numbers in the replacement application "Manage Outbound Delivery Orders".
  • Error message "/SCWM/DLV_SERIAL103" appears when attempting to post goods issue without assigning serial numbers.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Manage Outbound Delivery Orders" app.
  2. Attempt to process an outbound delivery with confirmed warehouse tasks.
  3. Try to post goods issue without assigning serial numbers.
  4. Observe the error message "/SCWM/DLV_SERIAL103".

Cause

The serial numbers were not added at the document level in the "Manage Outbound Delivery Orders" app before attempting to post goods issue.

Resolution

  1. Open the "Manage Outbound Delivery Orders" app.
  2. Switch to Edit Mode.
  3. Navigate to the Item Detail page.
  4. In the "Serial Numbers" section, enter a serial number in the empty row provided. Additional empty rows will appear after each input, allowing multiple serial numbers to be entered consecutively.
  5. Press "Apply" to close the Item Detail page.
  6. Press "Save" to complete the assignment of serial numbers.
  7. Proceed to post the goods issue.
