3644471 - Login Credentials Not Working After Migrating Business Users from SAP Sales and Service Cloud V1 to SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2

Symptom

  • Login credentials for business users migrated from V1 to V2 do not work in V2.
  • When attempted to login with the same user credentials, the following error message appears: 
    "Either the username or the password is incorrect. Please try again with valid sign-in credentials".

Environment

SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Migrate business users from V1 to V2 using the transition tools.
  2. Attempt to log in to V2 using the same credentials that worked in V1.
  3. Observe that the credentials fail to authenticate in V2 with the following error message: 
    "Either the username or the password is incorrect. Please try again with valid sign-in credentials".

Resolution

In order for the migrated users to login to the V2 system, kindly follow the below steps: 

  1. Ensure that after migrating users from V1 to V2, the administrator assigns the appropriate roles to the users.
  2. Set the security policy for the migrated users in V2.
  3. Reset the password to the users in V2.
