Symptom

  • DP Agent connecting to HANA in TCP mode shows disconnected status.
  • In the DP Agent logs, there are no errors and no incoming connections from HANA.
  • Error in HANA's dpserver trace:

          Generic stream error: getsockopt, Event=EPOLLERR - , rc=110: Connection timed out; $Context$=[db10b097fc3b272a,XXXXXX:XXXXX,XXXXXX:XXXXX,SDI,0]; $channel$={<NetworkChannel>={<NetworkChannelBase>={this=140413055989784, fd=33, refCnt=1, idx=4, local=XXXXXXX/XXXXXXX_tcp, remote=XXXXXXX/XXXXXX_tcp, state=ConnectWait, pending=[r--c]}}}
  • Querying the 'agents' view shows incorrect information under AGENT_HOST for this agent.
    • SELECT * FROM AGENTS WHERE AGENT_NAME = '<AGENT_NAME>';
