Symptom
- Several quotes remain stuck in the "Waiting for Approval" tab.
- These quotes have expired without being approved or rejected, obstructing visibility and management of active quotes.
- Editing and other actions are disabled for expired quotes in this state, leaving them locked with no user intervention possible.

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the "Waiting for Approval" tab in the Sales Cloud CPQ system
- Observe that expired quotes remain visible.
Cause
This happens when the workflow configuration is not updated properly as per the quote status.
Resolution
- Navigate to the workflow configuration under setup.
- Set the start status to "Expired" and the end status to "Reject.".
- Select the appropriate workflow action (e.g., "Retract Approval").
- Save the changes to the workflow configuration.
- Verify that the expired quotes are no longer visible in the "Waiting for Approval" tab.
