3644946 - onChange rule maintained to trigger on change of Applicant Status does not trigger - Recruiting Management

Symptom

A rule which is configured to raise to raise a warning message on change of Applicant Status does not trigger when the candidate is moved from one status to another using drag-and-drop or Move Candidate functionality

Environment

SAP Successfactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure an onChange business rule to raise a warning message when the applicant status is changed.
  2. Move a candidate from one status to another using the drag-and-drop functionality in the application.
  3. Observe that the warning message is not raised.

Cause

Rules are not triggered when the candidate is moved from one status to another using drag-and-drop or Move Candidate functionality. This is the expected system behavior.

Resolution

  1. Ensure that the candidate status is changed manually in the application page instead of using the drag-and-drop or Move Candidate functionality.
  2. Test the behavior by manually moving the candidate from one status to another.
  3. Verify that the rule triggers and the warning message is raised as expected.
