3645036 - Serial numbers in the material document are not transferred to inspection lot in EWM-managed storage location

Symptom

Serial number profile is assigned to a QM relevant material and in the profile, it is configured that serial number should be used during the QM process.
However, when receiving the material into an EWM-managed storage location, the serial numbers maintained in the material document are not transferred into the inspection lot generated.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

When the goods receipt storage location is EWM-managed, the process of transferring serial numbers from the material document to the inspection lot is not supported. This is a known EWM-QM integration limitation.

Resolution

For EWM related inspection lot (origin 17), the serial numbers need to be entered manually during the results recording in Record Inspection Results - For Operation app (QE01) via "Menu -> Edit -> Serial Numbers for Lot"
