3645046 - How to Restrict the Frequency and Duration of Daily Attendance Recording in Time Sheets Using a Business Rule

Symptom

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central – Time Sheet
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Resolution

In the following example, only one overtime recording is allowed per day, and it cannot exceed 4 hours.

  1. Set up a Time Sheet Validation rule with 2 conditions.
    • Employees can record overtime only once per day.

    • The overtime duration in a single entry cannot exceed 4 hours.

  2. Assign the business rule to employee's time recording profile.
  3. An error is raised when an employee’s daily overtime exceeds the allowed threshold.

     

Note: Above sample rule configuration is for reference. It is needed to adjust based on different business requirements.
