3645076 - Determining the type of partner address in a sales document: master data or document address

Symptom

Using the sales order header level as an example, illustrate how to determine whether the partner address in a sales document is a master data address or a document address.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the sales order.
  2. Go to the header level.
  3. Click the "Partner" tab.
  4. Check whether the checkbox for "Document Specific Address" under the partner function is selected.

Resolution

If the checkbox for the field "Document Specific Address" is checked, the address is a document address. If not, it is a master data address.
