3645096 - Consolidation unit and partner unit values are transposed in draft document after uploading in app Import Group Journal entries

Symptom

When importing group journal entries on PL 20, the draft document displays incorrect values compared to the import source file.

The consolidation unit and partner consolidation unit values are transposed.

For example, if the consolidation unit in the upload file is MJJ02 and the partner consolidation unit is MJJ00, the draft journal entry incorrectly populates Consolidation Unit with MJJ00.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Upload a group reporting journal entry file in the Import Group Journal Entries app (e.g., F3073).
  2. Review the draft journal entry created.
  3. Observe that the values in the Consolidation Unit 1 and Consolidation Unit 2 fields are transposed compared to the upload file.

Cause

Consolidation Unit 1 (Checkbox)

Out of a pair of consolidation units 1 and 2, it identifies which one is used as the consolidation unit and which one as the partner unit.

Select the checkbox to post the journal entry line items to your specified Consolidation Unit 1 as the consolidation unit, then your specified Consolidation Unit 2 becomes the partner unit. Otherwise, the line items are posted to the Consolidation Unit 2 as the consolidation unit, and the Consolidation Unit 1 becomes the partner unit.

Resolution

  1. Open the draft journal entry created after importing the group journal entry file.
  2. Manually select the checkbox Cons Unit 1 . 
  3. Ensure that the values align with the original upload file.
  4. Save the corrected draft journal entry.
