3645206 - Missing Gross Weight for 3PL Requests With Specific Unit of Measure (UoM)

Symptom

  • For 3PL requests containing product ABC, some requests display gross weight, while others do not.
  • Gross weight is missing for 3PL requests where the unit of measure (UoM) is XXX.
  • Gross weight is present for 3PL requests where the unit of measure (UoM) is YYY.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to work center Third-Party Logistics, access view 3PL Requests.
  2. Search for product ABC.
  3. In the result, observe that some 3PL requests display gross weight (product ABC with UoM YYY), while others do not (product ABC with UoM XXX).

Cause

  • In the master data of product ABC, under tab "General" - "UoM Characteristics", there is entry for UoM YYY, but no entry for UoM XXX. This absence prevents the gross weight from being displayed for 3PL requests with UoM XXX.

Resolution

  1. Access the master data for product ABC.
  2. Navigate to the "General" tab, select sub tab "UoM Characteristics".
  3. Add an entry for the unit of measure (UoM) XXX, save.
