3645208 - Error: Replication model already exists in the system - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Error message: "Replication model '34P_NA12' already exists in the system."
  • You cannot create a new communication arrangement for the scenario SAP_COM_0297 using target system TS1.
  • In the Maintain Filter app, how to remove the incorrect replication models ex. 34P_NA12
  • Unable to create a new communication arrangement due to duplicate replication models.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new communication arrangement for SAP_COM_0279.
  2. Enter the communication system and outbound communication user details.
  3. Assign replication models (e.g., 34P_NA12).
  4. Attempt to save the communication arrangement.
  5. Observe the error message: "Replication model 'NA123' already exists in the system."
  6. Cancel the operation and discard changes.
  7. Attempt to create a new communication arrangement with the same replication model name.
  8. Observe the same error message.

Cause

In case SAP_COM_0279 communication arrangement includes two replication modes, if one replication mode has no error and other replication has error. Before this, as long as some Replication model has no error, that replication mode can be created. This might cause issues because the Communication arrangement is in DRAFT and thus the created replication model could not be deleted.

Resolution

  1. If any error occurred when create Communication arrangement, stop processing, do not create replication mode.
  2. Create a SAP ticket in the component FIN-FSCM-CLM-BAM-2CL.
