3645685 - Entries not visible in Process Free Form Payments app after 2508 upgrade in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Payments are not visible in the "Process Free Form Payments" app after the 2508 upgrade.
  • Same behavior is observed in Monitor Payments app also.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Process Free Form Payment" app.
  2. Select "ALL".
  3. Click "Go".
  4. Observe that entries created by others are not visible.

Cause

  • A new restriction type, F_PAYRQ, was introduced in CE2502 and marked as PHASE-IN. In CE2508, the PHASE-IN flag was removed.
  • The user role assigned does not have the restriction type F_PAYRQ properly maintained, leading to an authorization check failure.

Resolution

  2. Refer to the SAP Help Portal guidelines for managing changed restriction types after an upgrade: How to Manage Changed Restriction Types After an Upgrade | SAP Help Portal.
  3. Review the user role assigned to the impacted user.
  4. Ensure that the restriction type F_PAYRQ is properly maintained with the correct Company Code and Original Indicator values.
