3645789 - Country-of-company field is still visible despite RBP removed and disabled in BCUI – 1H2025

If a login user has no field level permission for the country-of-company picklist field in job Info, the field is still displayed in the latest people profile (Job Info summary card, View All, History) because the Job Info API returns it as visible. 

This includes disabling in the BCUI in the latest people profile.

SuccessFactors Employee Profile 2505

1. Log in to SF instance.
2. Remove permission to field country-of-company in EC effective dated entities (Ensure to also remove ODATA API permission (read and edit) and imports permission (job information))
3. Disable the field in BCUI.
4. Proxy as any user in this permission group.
5. Country field is still visible.

 This behaviour differs from behaviour in Legacy people profile.

Under investigation.

A code correction has been created to investigate this issue, with no release date on the fix.

This has been created under ECT-259284.

Please bookmark this KBA for further updates, as the knowledge article will be updated as and when the defect has been investigated and a planned fix date communicated. For now, this is tentatively scheduled for 1H2026.

Additional Note:

Whilst the fix will be implemented to allow permissions to be respected on this field, the country-of-company field should never be disabled in BCUI as it is relevant for a lot of processes. 

We strongly advise against disabling this field, as it should be enabled.
