3645854 - Empty error dialog appears when viewing dimension members for filter during import job creation in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Data is imported from an OData connection from another SAP Analytics Cloud tenant using OAuth client.
  • During the creation of an import job for the FactData query using the OData connection, an empty error dialog appears when attempting to view dimension members for filter application. 

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.8.18 
Connection: Import OData connection to another SAC tenant's model

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the SAC Tenant in which the model is to be created
  2. Navigate to Models > Create New model from data source > OData Services > Select the connection name for the OData connection > Select the query FactData
  3. Add filter for any dimension
  4. Click on three lines right to cancel button to view the available members

Notice: An empty error dialog appears.

Cause

The FactData query lacks Key values, which are necessary for displaying data in OData queries.

Resolution

Use the FactDataAggregation query to build a model or import job
