3646037 - Advanced Shipping Notification Not Created After Outbound Delivery Released

An outbound delivery has been released, but under tab Output History there is no advanced shipping notification (ASN).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to work center Outbound Logistics, access view Outbound Deliveries.
2. Search outbound delivery ABC which is released, click Edit.
3. Select tab Output History, there is no advanced shipping notification (ASN).

*ABC represents outbound delivery ID

In the master data of corresponding account, ASN is not maintained under tab Communication sub tab Collaboration.

1. In the outbound delivery ABC, open ship-to party DEF, click View All.
2. Under tab General, under "Business Partner Roles", click Account, click View All.
3. Select tab Communication, select sub tab Collaboration.
4. In the section "Business Document Settings", tick Active for document "Advanced Shipping Notification Outbound" and maintain Output Channel.
5. Click Save.

With above setting, when new outbound delivery with ship-to party DEF released, ASN will be created and displays under tab Output History.

*Note: if Ship-to Party is different with Account in preceding business document (like Sales Order), then change the setting in Account mater data rather Ship-to Party's.

*DEF represents account ID
