3646042 - Employee Recorded Times do not Post in Time Account Balances

You are working with time postings from employees. When a time posting is created (either by the employee using the Employee Self-Services or through Time Administration), the time account balance of the time account does not show the time entry, and the balance is not modified.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Enter the Employees view.
3. Search for the respective employee.
4. Select it and click on the Edit button.
5. Navigate to the Time Account Balances tab.
6. Select the respective time account where the times should be posted.

In the Postings sub-tab on the bottom panel of the screen, the expected time recordings are not present.

The time type used in the time recording is not configured to post against the time account.

To check the posting configuration of the time type, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Enter the Overview view.
3. Search for the activity Time Types - XYZ (where XYZ represents the country of the time type).
4. Click the activity name to open it.
5. Enter the sub-activity Maintain Employee Time Types
6. Select the time type row in the table.
7. In the panel below, enter the sub-tab Time Account Posting.

In this list, the time account needs to be included.
