3646261 - Unable to search for a new hire in People Search when the effective date is "today"

• Proxy As and People Search functionalities are not working for specific users when the user status is active for the effective date.
• When you select the "Include inactive users in search" option under People Search, the user becomes searchable with active status. Otherwise, no data is displayed. 
• The user becomes searchable in People Search at a specific point during the effective day.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Add a new hire in Employee Central, setting the effective date as 20th August.
2. Search for the user at approximately UTC+8 11:00 AM on August 20th in the People Search as the admin user.
3. Confirm that the user is not found unless the "Include inactive users in search" option is selected.

5. Verify that the user can be located via action search/global search.
6. Recheck around UTC+8 12 PM and confirm that the user becomes searchable in the Employee Profile header search bar without selecting "Include inactive users in search." 

People Search validates the timezone of the user performing the search. In this case, the admin's timezone is set to US/Hawaii, which has not yet reached 20th August.

1. Adjust the timezone of the user performing the search to align with the timezone of the affected user.
2. While we acknowledge that the current behavior is not ideal, we are transitioning to a dynamic public view of profiles, a Full Profile that consolidates complete employee data, and enhanced user interactions. As a result, the legacy people profile data view is being deprecated, and the engineering team will not support new enhancement requests.
