3646904 - Moving Position Inactivation date does not re-trigger validation error

Manually changing the date that a position becomes inactive through History Edit does not raise an error message.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Terminate employee.
2. Provide effective future date (E.g. 10/10/2025).
3. Approve termination.
4. Record added to position to show position becomes inactive on 10/10/25.
5. Go to position > make correction on the same record > choose effective date 01/06/25 > save.
6. No error pops up to say there is still an incumbent assigned on this date.

Expected behaviour - No position validation when doing changes directly to history.

• These validations only occur when using take action, import or in position org chart etc
• Position History is a kind of admin tool therefore we do not check this initial validations again on save and allow the save.
