Symptom

  • Error occurs during connection setup between SAP Customer Data Platform (CDP) and SFTP server. 
  • Error message displayed: Algorithm negotiation fail: algorithmName='server_host_key' jschProposal='ssh-ed25519, ecdsa-sha2-nistp256, ecdsa-sha2-nistp384, ecdsa-sha2-nistp521, rsa-sha2-512, rsa-sha2-256, ssh-rsa' serverProposal='ssh-dss', cause = , host = abc, user = abc, port = 22, Timeout(ms) = 60000.  
  • The SFTP server only supports the outdated 'ssh-dss' algorithm, which is incompatible with the algorithms required by the CDP SFTP client.
