Symptom

  • All dialog work processes (DIA WPs) were full and stuck in the REPOSRC table.
  • System experienced a deadlock, causing a complete halt in operations.
  • Users were unable to log in to the system during the issue.
  • Error messages in developer trace were like:

"*GENER* locking program /OCALC/CL_CALC_GLOBAL_DATA====CP on secondary connection."
"*GENER* was already generated: /OCALC/CL_CALC_GLOBAL_DATA====CP."
"*GENER* starting remote generation: CL_VF_PRC_EXT_ADJ_FACTORY=====CP (requested by W19)."
"*GENER* starting remote generation: CL_MRM_GENERAL_SERVICES=======CP (requested by W35)."

  • DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENT dumps occurred.
