Symptom
- The total negotiated value in the opportunity header is not updating when the negotiated value in the product facet is changed.
- The total negotiated value on Opportunity header remains at 0 despite changes made to the negotiated value of the product.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Opportunities section.
- Search and open any opportunity.
- Go to the product facet.
- Add a product to the opportunity.
- Save the opportunity.
- Edit the opportunity.
- Navigate back to the product facet.
- Change the value of "Negotiated value" in the product column.
- Press Enter and save the opportunity.
- Observe that the total negotiated value in the Opportunity header remains 0 and does not reflect the updated negotiated value of the product.
Cause
- The opportunity has a custom status defined in the fine-tuning activity. - In the custom status configuration, the indicator "Reduce total
- In the custom status configuration, the indicator "Reduce total negotiated value" is enabled for statuses such as "In progress" and "Lost".
- When this indicator is set, the value of an item with the corresponding status is excluded from the calculation of the total negotiated value in the opportunity header.
Resolution
Disable the Reduce Total negotiated value in the Customer status of the opportunity. This will update then negotiated value on header of the opportunity, if any change is made on the negotiated value of product.
Execute following steps to disable the configuration: -
- Navigate to Business Configuration.
- Go to Overview.
- Select the Fine tuning Activity.
- Search for Opportunity.
- Click on hyperlink "Maintain Custom Status".
- Access the custom status configuration for opportunities.
- Locate the indicator "Reduce total negotiated value" for the statuses "In progress" and "Lost".
- Disable the "Reduce total negotiated value" indicator for these statuses.
- Save the changes to the configuration.
- Verify that the total negotiated value in the opportunity header is now updated correctly based on the negotiated values of the products.
