3647439 - When Importing Financial Reporting Structure Nothing Happens

Symptom

When uploading a Financial Reporting Structure, nothing happens.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Open Overview view.
  3. Search and open activity: Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
  4. Click on Edit Financial Reporting Structures.
  5. Click on Import from Microsoft Excel and add the desired file.
  6. Nothing happens, no Financial Reporting Structure is added.

Cause

The file uploaded is incomplete. The XML file for the Financial Structure consists of two main sections that if checked in Microsoft Excel have two tabs: HEADER and STRUCTURE.

One of this tabs are missing in the file.

Resolution

The file need to have all tabs maintained so the upload can be successful.
