• The option to delete material status is visible but appears to be grayed out/inactive in SSCUI/Configuration Activity 102618 Define Material Statuses.
• Unable to remove/delete material statuses in Define Material Status configuration activity.

Even though customer records are allowed, deletion of entries (standard or custom) are currently not possible.

Consider submitting an improvement request at SAP Customer Influence Portal.

SAP Customer Influence enables customers to submit improvement requests and to openly vote on them. 
These voting results inform SAP of product enhancements and changes customers are most interested in seeing in future releases.
