Symptom

Encountering Error status 409: "The alias already exists" indicates an issue when attempting to run a provisioning job for SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud. This error commonly arises because the related user has not been properly created as an 'Employee'. This can present challenges, especially in situations where swift provisioning is necessitated.

The error message is similar to the below message:
