3648075 - The Characters Limit for the Lead's Latest Notes Section

Symptom

The Latest Note section of the lead only allows to maintain 500 characters.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2.
SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.
SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Lead from the Navigation Menu.
  2. Search and open lead LMN (where LMN represent Lead name).
  3. In the General tab, go to the Latest Note section and try maintaining the note here.
  4. You are only allowed to maintain 500 characters within this latest note section.

Cause

We only limit the note to 500 characters. This is same behavior also for other entity such as opportunity.

Resolution

This is current system behavior.

If need to enhance the behavior, then you have to address via another channel i.e. Influence Forum - Influence Opportunity Homepage - Customer Influence
