3648116 - Custom MDF Fields Display Vertically — Horizontal Layout Not Supported

Symptom

Custom MDF fields in the system display exclusively in a vertical layout, restricting the option to present fields horizontally.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Metadata Framework
 




Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Manage Configuration UI in SAP SuccessFactors.
  2. Attempt to add custom MDF fields and observe that they are displayed only in a vertical layout. 

Cause

The current functionality of the Manage Configuration UI supports only vertical field additions.

Resolution

  • Confirm that the current Manage Configuration UI functionality supports only vertical field additions.
  • To have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it, where the SuccessFactors product management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
